BHP Design were responsible for the overseeing of the recently completed refurbishment of former commercial offices in Central London to provide 1700 sq.m of data space for Interxion. This included retention of the 3 storey building and the addition of two further storeys to accommodate additional data hall space and associated plant. This carrier neutral facility offers 2N UPS power and N+1 cooling. The development needed sensitive design and planning negotiations as it fell within a historical setting and was situated in a Conservation Area.
The data centre became fully operational in early 2013.
